Senior Analyst/Technical Author (Brussels, Belgium)

Our client in Brussels is currently seeking a Senior Analyst/Technical Author for .net and sql for a three-year post with the European Commission. The candidate should have advanced knowledge of technical documentation processes as well as high-level skills in the programming areas defined below.

Working Hours: full-time office hours

Location: Onsite, Brussels

Job Description:

• In-depth experience of Visual Basic .Net
• Good Experience with multi-user SQL-based databases, especially SQL Server
• Relevant experience of XML and XPath
• Analysis of user requirements, design, data analysis and data modelling
• Writing/maintenance of new modules for existing applications and/or of new applications that reflect the specifications
• Integration of applications with other applications and databases
• Assistance with training the administrators and users of the system
• Assistance with deployment and configuration of the system
• Produce and/or update technical documentation in English
• Implementation of data-exchange between databases
• Participation in meetings with users
• Assist technical contacts in line units and external project participants in English

Required Skills:

• English and French language skills. One fluent, and ability to work in the other.
• You must hold EU citizenship to be considered for this position.

Desired Skills:

The ideal candidate will also have:

• Experience of documentation in the x industry.
• Quick learning ability is required as well as teamwork spirit and ability to integrate in a multilingual and multicultural environment
• Knowledge of DG EAC programmes is an advantage
• Knowledge of Oracle DBMS is an advantage
